"The Me Nobody Knew"

The oldest of three sons of a single, hard-working mom, Daniel became one of the first of "Rosie's Kids" in 2003 when he was a fifth grader at PS 153 in Harlem. Shy and tentative, Daniel found his voice when the PS Broadway program brought in a jazz pianist to teach his class. Unprompted, Daniel approached the pianist to ask, "Do you know any Motown?"
There was no looking back after that. Daniel soon earned a spot in the RTKids' ACTE II program. Over the course of the next seven years, he learned tap, jazz, ballet, voice, drama, and music skills under the tutelage of RTKids' Broadway professionals.
Today, Daniel is an accomplished actor, dancer, and singer, a true triple threat -- and proud holder of a high school diploma from Professional Performing Arts School. In the summer of 2010, he earned the only Diversity Scholarship in Drama/Musical Theater to Carnegie Mellon University's summer pre-college program for rising high school seniors. In September 2011, Daniel became the first member of his family to attend college. Enrolled as a freshman at the University of Michigan, he will continue his professional journey in the study of musical theater.
